Ben Calmes is an historian and reporter on China. He has traveled
alone extensively throughout southeastern China. His views on China
have been sought by Moody's Investors Service, the World Economic
Forum, and the New York Times.
Ben was a White House summer intern (1990), editor of White House
Press Releases and Presidential Papers of George Bush (1991-92),
consultant for Clinton-Gore transition (1992-93), and held responsible
positions at the Resolution Trust Corporation, US Treasury Department,
and US Postal Service.
He has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and
a M.A. in history. Ben is currently working on a book about the
emerging American-Chinese convergence titled SUPERTROOP.
