Vase-shaped doorways at the Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai. Modeled
on classic Chinese gardens, the Yuyuan was begun by the
wealthy Pan family during the late Ming Dynasty (approximately
1559) and were ransacked and damaged several times over
the past 150 years. They were restored in the late 1950s
and are hugely popular as a photo backdrop.
